Twinkles Sensory Story Time
When: Every Tuesday during term time, 12:30 – 2:00 PM

Where: Kingsdown School, Snakes Lane, Southend.  SS2 6XT

Details: Enjoy a relaxed session with a variety of activities including messy play, sensory play, and music. Each month features a new theme. Best suited for pre-school aged children with complex disabilities and medical needs.

Sparkles Sensory Story Time
When: Every Thursday during term time, 10:00 – 11:00 AM

Where: Rayleigh Baptist Church, Highstreet Rayleigh.  SS6 7QA

Details: A fun and engaging story time where children are encouraged to be active. Stories are repeated for 3 weeks to help develop key early learning skills. Features Makaton and various communication strategies. Best suited for pre-school aged children with disabilities who like to be on the go.

When: Every Thursday during term time, 11:15 – 12:15 AM

Where: Rayleigh Baptist Church, Highstreet Rayleigh.  SS6 7QA

Details: Similar to the earlier session but at a slower pace, allowing extra time to explore resources. Best suited for children with mobility needs or who require more time to engage.

Teddy Hewitt Stay and Play
When: Every Friday during term time, 12.15 – 1.15 PM

Where: Blenheim Children’s Centre, School Way, Southend on Sea, SS9 4HX

Details:  A messy and sensory play session in a larger space with a variety of sensory toys, including a dark tent.  Best suited for children who need a relaxed and calm environment or have mobility needs.

When: Every Friday during term time, 1:30 – 2:30 PM

Where: Blenheim Children’s Centre, School Way, Southend on Sea, SS9 4HX

Details:  A messy and sensory play session with crafts based on a monthly theme. Includes physical play activities and an outdoor area to explore in warmer months.Best suited for pre-school aged children with disabilities who like to be on the go.
 

They are such amazing people. Every time, the group has different sensory things to play with. It really encourages my little girl to get into some messy play as she dislikes wet food. The group sessions are small just perfect and not too overwhelming and noisy. You get to know other parents too!

As a parent this session means my son has found a place where he can be himself, enjoy and build his confidence. As a Mother I am really grateful.
I can’t put into words how amazing these sessions are. It’s so lovely to be able to talk to other parents/carers, share tips and ideas and just have people to get it and listen.
I have been attending Chaos and Calm for 2 years now. The group is very important to us all. It is part of our routine and my boys get so much support, help with learning and socialising.
This session is a friendly environment with a community feel and is non-judgemental. Recommend to everyone. The best group ever. We’re grateful to have found it.

It is so nice to do something and Elaine leads it so I can enjoy being a mum in the moment which is hard for me to do sometimes, she is amazing and I can't wait to get our WAV in January to get to your groups!!
Chaos and Calm coming out to us is the only professional that does play that I'm actually content and happy around, It's all at his pace. There's a caring personal touch element when Elaine comes she's taking time and I appreciate that.
